Church of the Annunciation of the Most Holy Theotokos

The Church of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary is the oldest church in the city. The building itself is built entirely of brick. The temple includes a two-light cubic volume with a pentagonal altar and a refectory connected to a tent-like octagon on a quad. The refectory served as a winter church and included two chapels. The main distinguishing feature in the architecture of the Church of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary is an onion-shaped dome placed directly on the main quadrangle, as a result of which the dome completely covers it.
