* The house museum of the famous Impressionist artist Claude Monet is located 80 kilometers from Paris in the small Norman village of Giverny. The artist acquired this estate at the dawn of his career in 1883 and lived in it with his family until the end of his days. He saw her by chance, passing by on a train, and he could never part with her again! He became so interested in gardening that he independently built a luxurious Japanese-style garden with the famous pond for water lilies, weeping willows, flowers, exotic plants and the famous Japanese green bridge entwined with wisteria. From now on, this garden will become a place of inspiration for the artist, where he will create all his greatest works! The artist's friends and colleagues — Pissaro, Renoir, Cezanne, Matisse, Clemenceau - visited here. From spring to autumn, the eye is pleased with the rich palette of colors chosen by the artist himself — an extravaganza of bright colors, shades and nuances from a variety of flowers, shrubs, exotic plants, trees and their water reflections! During our tour, we will also visit the artist's house itself — the famous pink house with bright green shutters, built in a rustic Norman style. The house houses Claude Monet's personal belongings and interior items — furniture, paintings, collections of Japanese prints, ceramic tableware, kitchen utensils and much more. At the local cemetery, we will visit the modest grave of the artist and a small village church standing nearby.
