The layout of the Buran spacecraft

In August 2015, the interactive museum complex "Buran" was opened on the territory of the VDNH exhibition Center. It is located in a mock-up of the eponymous orbiting spacecraft, about a 10-minute walk from the main entrance, next to Pavilion No. 20. About 2.5 million developers, engineers, scientists and designers from 1,300 companies from all over the country were invited to work on this giant orbiting spacecraft. The design and construction took 12 years. About 80 new materials had to be developed to implement the idea. Ceramic tiles were used to finish the rocket plane, which could withstand passage through a dense atmosphere without igniting.
