Raya Yai Island, also called Racha Yai Island, is situated 25 km south of Phuket. Racha Island is very close to Phuket Island, 25 min. by speed boat. Specially at low season highly recommended. The main beach, Patok Beach, is located on a long u-shaped bay with powdery white sand and crystal clear turquoise water providing for great swimming, as is the beach at Siam Bay next by which hosts a longer and more quite beach. Kon Kare Bay and Ter Bay a few hundred meters across the island host great beaches and fantastic snorkeling. Diving tours and fishing tours are concentrated on that side of the island due to the abundance of sea life. Coral Island, known locally as Koh Hae or Ko He, is a beautiful getaway destination around 3 km southeast of Phuket. The island has 2 main beaches: Long Beach and Banana Beach. Snorkelling off Banana Beach is a thrilling experience. If you go out far enough from Long Beach, you'll also have a lot to discover at its impressive coral reef. The most dramatic sunset viewpoint on the island sees the cape plunging into the ocean, with the sun dipping into the sea in the distance. As the sky glows redder, Phromthep Cape’s windswept brush lights up with a golden glow, in sharp contrast to the dark blue waters surrounding it.
