* The necklace of ancient estates near Moscow is located in the current southeastern part of the capital. The real diamond is Lublin, a rare example of Palladian classicism. The estate flourished in the early years of the 19th century under Nikolai Alekseevich Durasov, a famous Moscow rich man, original and hospitable, famous for his extraordinary hospitality. It was then that a magnificent palace was erected, shaped like a cross inscribed in a circle. According to legend, Durasov immortalized the form of the Order of St. Anne in the building. Whether this legend is plausible, we will find out on the tour. The estate's ensemble also included a fortress theater, a house for actors and a theater school, a greenhouse and a stable yard. The Lublin Theater was no less famous than the manor theaters in Kuskovo, Ostankino and neighboring Kuzminki. The historical building of the theater school was renovated in 2010-2014. The estate was surrounded by a magnificent landscaped park — unfortunately, it was almost completely destroyed during the hurricane of 1904, but subsequently restored. Recently, the Moscow authorities have carried out comprehensive landscaping of the park and marina on Lublin Pond.
