Golenishchev-Kutuzov House
Detailed description
The house was built in 1822 for the military Governor-General Pavel Vasilyevich Golenishchev-Kutuzov. The building is a three-storey building, the facade of which is decorated with a warrant. The first floor is rusticated, and the upper one is built with an attic. Some rooms are decorated with stucco, fireplaces are built in some places. The building is crowned with a pitched roof made of metal. Nowadays, the house is residential. Nearby are the I. A. Brodsky Museum apartment, the house of Zhako - P.V. Dashkov, the Mikhailovsky Theater, the mansion of M.A. Gorchakov and the embankment of the Griboyedov Canal.
