* 09:00 departure for the tour "The place where time stops...". It is no coincidence that Chalk Divas attract people from different parts of our planet. Everyone chooses these places for different reasons, but it is always primarily a desire to escape from the hustle and bustle of the world and enjoy the incredible beauty of magnificent natural landscapes. Our journey begins with a visit to the Small Divas, which are located on the territory of the Divnogorsky Monastery of the Holy Dormition, and got their name from the Cretaceous remains of divas. The complex of Small Divas includes a cave church and a bypass gallery with two chapels. The complex has been mentioned in documents since 1653, although there are suggestions about its earlier origin. The principle of the cave temple's structure and graffiti on the walls resemble images in Roman catacombs of the first centuries of Christianity. According to legend, the founders of the monastery are the schema monks Xenophon and Joasaph, who came here from Italy with the icon of the Mother of God, called the Sicilian. In May 1699, the Great Russian Emperor Peter I visited the Divnogorsky Monastery. Lunch is a monastic meal. Then the Big Divas will be waiting for us. We will visit the unique cave temple of the Sicilian Icon of the Mother of God (19th century), the remains of the medieval fortress of Mayak and the necropolis (10th century), and learn about the rich history of the region. The hill offers a breathtaking panorama of the Don River and its valley. Return to Voronezh after 19:30.
