* Schwerin is the capital of the northern German state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. The city was founded by Duke Henry the Lion on the site of the former Slavic fortress of Zverin.
Schwerin's life is closely connected with water — it is located on 10 lakes. The largest of them is Lake Schwerin, which contains the famous Schwerin Palace, the former residence of the Mecklenburg Dukes.
During a walking tour of the city, we will visit the Town Hall Square with the original monument to Henry the Lion.,
Myasnikov Square, where there is a sculpture dedicated to a cheerful folk song about Mr. Pastor's cow.
We will visit the "leaky" Schwerin Cathedral, take a walk near the priests' pond, on the shore of which there is a magnificent building of the former arsenal, and see the bust of the founder of the universal Postal Union, Heinrich von Stefan.
We will walk along three narrow streets, see a chest of drawers and the original building of the cafe "Prague". Through the government quarter we will go to Alten Garten Square, where the historical buildings of the Schwerin Theater and the state Museum are located.
After the sightseeing tour, you can visit the palace and stroll through its magnificent park.
