* The freeride program in the valley of the Kazyr river is a location for those who like technical forest skiing with an abundance of drops, microrelief and other "buns" combined with a fairly steep slope of the descent lines. The program is designed for advanced riders who feel confident in narrow lanes, chutes and on big moves. Who also have no questions about the method of using avalanche equipment. If this is all about you, then we invite you to step up to a new level of freeride skiing in the mountains of Siberia. Here you will not find snow trucks, cable cars and other mechanized lifting equipment, only backcountry. We do all the ascents on foot (snowshoes, skis, splitboard). Here you will enjoy not only the descent along the untouched slopes, but also the ascent among the picturesque landscapes. Dates in the 2024 season. January: 18-21, 25-28 February: 1-4

day 01

First day - arrival and acquaintance with the city of "First Fortress"

Type of accommodation:Camping

At 5:00 am, all participants of the program will meet in Novokuznetsk at the suburban railway station (2a Transportnaya Street). Getting to know the guides. Transfer by train to the city of Mezhdurechensk. Transfer to the next train and transfer to the station 140 km (arrival at 9:44). We load all our belongings into a snowmobile, and we go light without backpacks 3 km to the Kazyr campsite and check into a cozy shelter. We refresh ourselves before skating, prepare our equipment and our powder day begins. Today we are skiing on the southeastern slopes of the First Fortress, and at the same time we will trample the ski slope for tomorrow's ascent to more distant locations.

day 02

The second day - we continue to ride on the sidelines of the "First Fortress"

We wake up early, have breakfast and rush to roll out the longest and most technical couloirs of the First Fortress Mountain. During the day, we make 3-4 descents along the southeastern side of the "Fortress". Each line is replete with various microrelief elements: rocks, hills, hummocks, fallen trees, located in deep couloirs covered with snow. Each descent requires the rider to be collected, extremely attentive and careful. In the evening we return to the campsite, where a real Siberian sauna will be waiting for us.

day 03

The third day - "The Second Fortress"

Today we are going on the longest skit of the program, to the mountain "The Second Fortress". We start upstream of the Kazyr river to the foot and, depending on the selected descent lines, choose the trajectory of the ascent. The location resembles the "First Fortress" in its relief and slope, but the length of the lines, the difference and the scale are much larger. We manage to make 2-3 descents in a day and return to the base. In the evening, you can arrange a sauna (optional).

day 04

Day four - it's time to go home

If we wake up early, then today, before the train, we have time to roll out the couloirs of the First Fortress Mountain nearby the campsite. After riding, we load all the things into the snowmobile's cargo sled and send it to the station, leaving light ourselves. At 15:18 we take the train and transfer in Mezhdurechensk to Novokuznetsk, where we arrive at 19:15.

Requirements for the participant

For comfortable riding according to the program, good physical fitness, fluency in equipment, and experience riding off-piste, including in deep snow are necessary.

It is necessary to be able to descend slopes of 30 degrees in a controlled manner

In this program, you must have avalanche equipment (sensor, probe, shovel) and be able to use it.
