* The Kuskovo Estate Museum is a unique architectural and park ensemble of the XVIII century, which has come down to us in considerable preservation. Count Pyotr Borisovich Sheremetev turned Kuskovo in the middle of the XVIII century into a summer pleasure country residence — a kind of "dream factory". There is a huge park with sculptures, a wooden Palace decorated in various artistic styles, unique park pavilions — Dutch and Italian houses, the Hermitage, a Grotto, etc. Visitors to the estate (and there were up to 50 thousand of them!) watched performances in theaters, rode boats on a Large pond and were treated to exotic fruits from greenhouses. In the second half of the XIX – early XX century, through the efforts of S.D. Sheremetev, the estate was preserved, and in 1918 it was transferred to the state. Already in 1919, a museum was opened here, united in the 1930s with the State Museum of Ceramics. On the tour, we will learn about the structure of the estate, walk along the alleys of the regular park, visit the enfilades of the Palace and the Grotto pavilion.
