A work center with lovely nature and amazing views of the Katun River Valley. Chemal is one of the places where the climate is milder and there are a lot of sunny days. In this tour you will get acquainted with the basics of the Altai Mountains.
One of the main attractions of the Chemalsky district is the island of Patmos and the hydroelectric power station.
The Church of St. John the Theologian is a revived shrine from the history of the 20th century. The temple is located on an island in the middle of the river. It is possible to get to the temple via a suspended pedestrian bridge over the Katun River.
A walk to the hydroelectric power station runs along a goat trail along the river, which is about 1 km long. One section of the trail offers panoramic views of the confluence of the Chemal and Katun rivers.
Chemalskaya HPP is one of the main stages of the 20th century progress and further development.
