You will get to look inside one brewery and meet the brewer. TASTING THE BEER OF FREEDOM: Kamnik was the home of Rudolf Maister, the liberator of the Slovenian northern border. He was born here right at the time of a real hop-growing and brewing boom. This is when, according to the local myth, the "beer of freedom" was created near Kamnik, which inspired all the great inventors of its time. The same myth, a century and a half later, inspired the Statue of Liberty in a nearby village, scandalous enough to resonate throughout global media.
