Description
Type: Single-day activity
Duration: 5 hours
* During this tour, we will visit the infamous Nevsky Piglet, where about 50,000 Soviet soldiers died on an area of about one and a half square kilometers, trying in desperate attempts to break the siege of Leningrad. We will make a stop at the Rubezhny Kamen memorial, walk through the remains of the trenches and see the graves made by the search teams. In the northern part of the memorial area, we will walk along the Walk of Fame to the bank of the Neva River, where the last center of defense of the bridgehead was located - the headquarters dugout of the 330th Infantry Regiment of the 86th Infantry Division.
In the second part of the tour, we will see the diorama "Breaking the Siege of Leningrad", where all the most significant moments of breaking the blockade are captured on a huge canvas of 40 x 8 meters. We will also walk through the tank exhibit located at the entrance to the museum, which includes authentic wartime tanks raised from the bottom of the Neva River. After visiting the diorama, we will return to St. Petersburg along the Murmanskoe highway to your hotel or any point in the city center.
