An active tour to the incredibly beautiful places of Altai. In 10 days, you will immerse yourself in the atmosphere of traveling through high-altitude landscapes with thousands of years of glaciers, waterfalls, lakes and passes.
You will see such famous sights as:
• Snow-white beauty - Belukha Mountain
• Milky waters of Lake Ak-Kem
• The blue of Lake Kucherlinsky
• Colorful Yarlu River gorge - "Valley of the Edelweiss"
On this tour you will be able to:
• Overcome the Kara-Tyurek pass, 3060 m high. (cat. 1A), which offers a fantastic view.
• Visit the "Valley of the Seven Lakes", where you will see numerous waterfalls, alpine meadows and snow-capped peaks.
• Visit the mysterious Mountain Spirits Lake and the highest mountain chapel in Russia.
Your vacation will be spent with the greatest possible comfort and care from experienced tour guides. You will experience a lot of emotions, take unique photos, find the strength and be inspired to new achievements!
The tour is suitable for people who have normal physical fitness, want to see the real Altai mountains, but do not carry a heavy backpack.
The group items will be carried by horses, and we will have only personal items in our backpacks.
An average of about 16 km will be covered per day. The most difficult section is the Kara-Tyurek pass (3,090 m).

Meeting with Altai
Type of accommodation:Hotel
Meeting at the airport of Gorno-Altaysk. Transfer from Gorno-Altaysk to Tyungur. Overnight at the campsite, checking the equipment, preparing for the exit. Overnight at the Vysotnik Hotel.
day 02
Saltarsky keys
Type of accommodation:Hotel
Transfer to GAZ-66 before the start of the walking route from the Kucherla River. Some of the equipment is left there for loading onto pack horses. Transfer to Saltarsky keys.
Sleepover.
day 03
Kucherlinsky lake
Type of accommodation:Hotel
The day will start with an ascent along the upper Kucherlin trail. Gradually, the path will rise above the forest area and reach a high-altitude plateau. Along the way, you will enjoy magnificent views of the valley of the Kucherla River, Lake Kucherlinsky and the snow-capped peaks of the Katun Ridge!
Overnight at the Kamennaya Izba high-altitude parking lot.

Ak-Kem Lake and Kara-Tyurek pass

Ascent to the Kara-Tyurek pass. Kara-Tyurek means "Black heart" in Altaic. Difficulty category 1 A. Height 3060 m. The spectacular scenery opens from the pass! Before us is a snow-white beauty, the highest point of the Altai Mountains - Mount Belukha, the milky waters of Lake Ak-Kem, the multicolored Yarlu valley and the turquoise lake of Mountain Spirits! Great photo opportunity!
Overnight on the shore of Lake Ak-Kemsky.

Yarlu Gorge

After breakfast, the group goes out for a radial walk in the Yarlu gorge. During the day, its slopes are painted in light blue colors, and in the evening, thanks to the rays of the setting sun, they turn into soft pink shades. Yarlu has another name — "Valley of the Edelweiss", here you can find a lot of these mysterious flowers.

Access to the Valley of Seven Lakes

After breakfast— a radial exit to the Valley of the Seven Lakes.
Amazing lakes, numerous waterfalls, blooming alpine meadows and snow—white peaks - even the most discerning viewer will be amazed by this splendor! The valley of the Seven Lakes is shaped like a heart. The uppermost lakes are located at an altitude of just over 2,600 m. You will have a snack on the lakes, and dinner after arriving at the camp.

Lake of Mountain Spirits

Radial access to the Mountain Spirits Lake and the highest mountain chapel in Russia. The beluga whale is clearly visible! And nature will not leave any traveler indifferent: a crystal clear lake enclosed among rocks, surrounded by many legends.

See you soon, Belukha
Type of accommodation:Tent
Early rising and breakfast. Today, we will carry our belongings and public equipment on our own for part of the journey (no more than 4 kg of general equipment + personal belongings). The trail will run along the Akkem River, gradually losing altitude. The beluga whale is disappearing from the horizon. Along the way, there are streams flowing down from glaciers, passing them over bridges.

Return to Tungur
Type of accommodation:Hotel
On the second day of the descent we approach the parking lot "Three birches". In order not to go uphill through a non-categorical pass through the forest (since the path is quite monotonous), we will drive this section "with a breeze" on GAZ-66 to our base in the village of Tyungur.

End of the tour
