Базилика Сан - Лоренцо - Маджоре

Not far from Sant'Eustorgio there is another church, San Lorenzo Maggiore, dating back to the early Christian period. Its Renaissance dome was added in 1574, but the mosaics in the chapel of Saint Aquiline date back to the fourth century. In front of the church is a portico of sixteen Corinthian columns, which is the largest surviving monument of the Roman Mediolanum.
