"Kronborg on the starboard side!" This command traditionally announces the return of Danish sailors to their homeland. It is here, in the Oresund Strait, that this powerful outpost, Kronborg Castle, is located, embodying in the national consciousness of the Danes a major milestone along the entire route from the North Sea to the Baltic Sea. Kronborg Castle, like a huge ship, rearing its towers and masts, crashes the nose of the forward bastion into the very vortex of the fast-moving "Sound", as if sailing out to intercept ships hurriedly gliding through the strait. We will start our tour from the shopping area of Helsingera. In English, it is called Elsinore and is located 45 km from Copenhagen.
