Museum of the History of Yekaterinburg
Detailed description
The Museum of the History of Yekaterinburg is the former museum of Yakov Sverdlov, transformed in 1995. The museum's exhibitions are entirely devoted to the history of the city and consist of three sections. The first section “Archeology" tells about the formation of the city, about the first metallurgists. An interesting exhibit in this section is an interactive whiteboard. The second section tells about the transformation of the city since its foundation in the 18th century. You can view a multimedia book dedicated to this period. The third exhibit is a story in 3D, presented as a stereo film. The film highlights the foundation of the city, the construction of the first factories, and the opening of a lapidary factory. The museum produces pocket guidebooks, thanks to which guests and tourists of the city will be able to see interesting sights on their own. The museum constantly hosts thematic exhibitions on any topic, either it is an exhibition of antique labels, or it is a selection of exhibits for the work “Alice in Wonderland”. There is a creative workshop for children at the museum site. Workshops for children and interactive lessons are held. There are weekly city tours.
