The Mansion of the Minister of War
Detailed description
The mansion of the Minister of War was built in 1874 for the Count, Field Marshal General D.A. Milyutin. It was built according to the project of academician R. B. Bernhard. It consists of a main building and a two-storey wing. During the Soviet era, the mansion was occupied by the engineering department. During the war, the building was severely damaged, and most of the interior decoration of the mansion was lost. In 1999, the building was reconstructed and a hotel was opened in it, which is still operating today. The interior decor was as close as possible to the lost ones.
