Pristine wild Mongolia is a vast expanse of steppes, majestic mountains and dancing ancient winds! As part of the Mongolia – Land of Nomads tour, you will visit the shores of the crystal lake Khubsugul, see valleys and steppes where there are no other tourists — only fluffy yaks, travelers on horseback and stunning expanses.
To visit the Homeland of Genghis Khan means to return to the origins of nomadic culture, to plunge headlong into ethnic traditions. You will stay in a yurt, in which the steppe peoples lived many centuries ago. You will learn the secrets of the shamanic sanctuary, where rituals are conducted to this day. You will taste traditional dishes of the national cuisine: khorkhog, khushur, boodog.

We will meet you at Irkutsk airport and invite you to a comfortable hotel complex near the city center, Zvezda 4. This is a hotel with spacious rooms in a classic style, with exquisite decorative solutions. If desired, you can relax or take a walk around the capital of Eastern Siberia.
The historical center of Irkutsk is on the UNESCO World Heritage tentative list. The city is called "Eastern Paris" and "Siberian Petersburg". On its streets, Russian wooden architecture juxtaposes with the Baroque style, every nook and cranny is saturated with legends of the past, and the facades of buildings hold secret messages for contemporaries. The day will start with an early wake-up call: you will have to cross the border and get to know another country! A guide with stories and legends about the Mongolian god Gesar will enhance the feeling of anticipation. You will have breakfast at a local cafe. The menu will feature traditional dishes from the Baikal region: buuz, shulen soup, and boovy.
Your road will pass through the Tunka Valley. The guests of the region call it a “magical land". This is exactly the feeling that arises from the local beauty and energy. The snowy peaks of the Eastern Sayan Mountains, clear rivers, Siberian forests and protected lands will keep your attention during the move. We'll make a few stops to capture the memories in precious photos.
At the entrance to the border you will see Munku-Sardyk, the highest peak in Siberia. It is here that you will be able to experience the globality and scale of the Hubsuggle. And already behind it, panoramic views of the bays of the majestic lake will open. After passing through the border, you will go straight to its shores, where you will have to settle in an ethnic yurt. Sunset on the shore and a hearty dinner served in the best traditions of the Mongols.

A day dedicated to the country's identity. After a hearty breakfast, the guide will take you on an excursion to “13 oboo“, the Arvan-Gurvan-obo shamanic sanctuary. We will drive to the rocky cape Khanginsky, where, according to legend, rituals have been held for the past four centuries.
Rituals are also practiced in our time: fresh bonfires and animal skulls can be seen next to the central obo. In addition to its ethnic and historical significance, the place attracts energy waves: perhaps it is here that the ancient spirits will whisper to you the knowledge of wise nomads.
If desired, we will arrange for you a personal meeting with a shaman or horseback riding. You can also spend the afternoon on the shore of Khubsugul.: If possible, we will swim in the waters of the sacred lake or take a walk along the shore, enjoy the wild beaches and relaxing views. In the evening, you will have a delicious dinner and pleasant communication with other members of the group.
day 04
Maralovaya farm - Irkutsk

After breakfast, you will say goodbye to the hospitable people and set off on your way back. On your way to the city, you will be given an excursion to a deer farm: get acquainted with a subspecies of red deer. More than 100 individuals live on the farm. There will be an opportunity to feed and pet them. You will learn how marals live and how fawns are raised.
Return to the city and end the trip. In contrast to the lack of civilization, you will appreciate what you have even more. Especially after coming into contact with the philosophy of the nomads: to be absolutely happy with little: a warm yurt, a glass of fresh milk for breakfast and your own freedom.
