Portorož is the most touristy town in the whole of Slovenia and boasts a century-old thermal tradition. Koper is the main town in Slovenian Istria, once settled on an Island, it’s a town with an interesting history due to the many various rulers the town had which is also reflected in the town’s architecture. Like all the towns in the Slovenian Istria, Koper was also influenced in the greatest measure by the Venetians who left the biggest imprint on Koper’s architecture. Ankaran is a tourist town located on the peninsula of Milje. A former Benedictine monastery, rebuild and renew, that now serves as a high-quality hotel. Marezige mostly known for the Festival of refošk offers a marvelous view of the vast vineyards surrounding the village.
