Description
Type: Single-day activity
Duration: 12 hours
* Would you like to visit the birthplace of Christopher Columbus and Niccolo Paganini? Enjoy the Italian flavor, history, and authenticity? Then I strongly advise you to go to Genoa!
Genoa, the largest medieval city in Europe, has retained the charm of the ancient maritime republic, whose power resounded throughout medieval Europe.
We will get into the spirit of the seaside city by taking a walk around the Old Port, taste a mix of freshly caught seafood that is sold right on the street opposite the building of the oldest bank in Europe, and board the Neptune galleon, which was built specifically for Roman Polanski's film Pirates.
Through the maze of narrow streets in the historical center, we will walk to Columbus' hometown, the pompous 16th-century Rolly palaces on Garibaldi Street, the palace where Paganini's violin is kept, St. Lorenzo Cathedral, and the chic Ferrari Square. Then we will go up to the observation deck, from where you can enjoy a magnificent view of the whole of Genoa.
A 1-day tour of Genoa can include a visit to the Aquarium, the largest in Europe, or take a ferry to Portofino, the pearl of the Ligurian Sea, an elegant town with colorful houses and crystal-green waters!
Magical Genoa, at least, will not leave anyone indifferent, at most, it will be love from the first visit!
