* For a long time, life in the German-occupied territory remained a semi-secret topic. Soviet sources spoke about it only sparingly and in a streamlined manner, and the surviving witnesses, out of fear of the authorities, were afraid to mention this episode once again in their biographies. To this day, this topic remains poorly understood and surrounded by many myths and legends. During our tour, we will visit battlefields and memorials related to the defense and liberation of the surroundings of our city, as well as talk about exploits, crimes, life and death in the occupied territory. And first of all, the story will be about people who revealed all the heights and abysses of the human soul during the war.: from those who were ready to die for their comrades in a hopeless battle without hesitation, to those who betrayed their fellow men for the sake of extra rations. Points of stops on the tour: — let's take a walk through the center of Gatchina, see what it looked like during the occupation, and talk about how the Soviet people survived and how they tried to resist the "new order"; — we will visit the places of concentration camps and mass executions of Nazis; — let's see the monument to Zinovy Kolobanov's tank ambush and talk about different versions of historians regarding this battle.; — let's walk in the footsteps of Alexander Mnatsakanov's unique tank ram in Skvoritsy; — we will stop at Russian-Vysotsky, the place where the Germans broke through the last defensive belt in front of Leningrad in September 1941 and at the same time the meeting place of the two Soviet armies during the lifting of the blockade.
