* The walk will take you through the most untrodden places of one of the oldest districts of the capital, Kitay-gorod. We will see authentic and "fake" sections of the Kitaygorodsky wall, miraculously preserved ancient temples, as well as bell towers built into apartment buildings at the turn of the XIX–XX centuries. We will find out where Ivan Fedorov printed the first book and what his seal looked like, and where Russian higher education was born. Why did they put up a monument to two Greeks in the center of Moscow and what Patriarch Nikon forbade to build? We will see one of the rare examples of a noble manor preserved in Kitay-Gorod. And finally, let's find out where the "old gentlemen" are hiding? We will pay special attention to historical and architectural losses: fortress towers, monastery and parish churches and chapels.
