And after that, we are expected at a reception at the Palace on the Crown. This is one of the most beautiful buildings in the city, where we will walk through the luxurious halls of the house of the Noble Assembly, learn its history, and also visit the oldest library in the city - the Karamzin Public Library. 13:00 - We have lunch, as befits noblemen, in one of the best restaurants in the city. The next point of the route is the Republic of Tatarstan, we move to Bolgar and check the clock (~123 km). We have a unique opportunity to touch the greatest heritage that the Tatar people have carefully preserved. We will visit the capital of the vanished state - Volga Bulgaria, and then the main city of the Golden Horde. 15:00 - Guided tour of the Bulgarian Museum-Reserve. Together we will explore the Bulgarian civilization, see the largest Quran in the world (confirmed by the Guinness Book of Records) and preserved architectural monuments of the 13th century! Before leaving, we will visit one of the most impressive architectural sights of Tatarstan, which visually resembles the grandiose Taj Mahal - the White Mosque. We will inspect the square in front of the complex, and if there is no prayer or Muslim holiday at this time, we will go inside (observing all the rules of visiting). The special flavor conquers instantly and makes you eagerly explore all the locations. We will visit the main attractions: • Take a walk through the Staro-Tatarskaya Sloboda, the largest ensemble of the national Tatar architecture; • Take a look at the Tugan Avylym ethnographic complex, where a Tatar village with its characteristic wooden houses and rich front gardens has been recreated.; • We will see a fairy-tale castle with stained glass windows and a sculpture of a Little Prince, inside of which there is a puppet theater “Ekiyat”; • The grandiose sports facilities that appeared thanks to the 2013 Universiade; • We will visit the Bogoroditsky Monastery, where one of the most significant symbols of Orthodoxy is kept - the Vatican list of the Icon of the Kazan Mother of God. We will make a stop, and you can come in and evaluate the idea of uniting all religions (if desired, for a donation). And then we go to the island, which everyone read about in childhood! 11:00 – We are in Sviyazhsk! According to one version, it is he who is considered the prototype of the island of Buyan in the fairy tale "About Tsar Saltan". On the spot, everything really looks very charming: a huge staircase leading somewhere up. What awaits us there? A strategically important object in the formation of Russia! Ivan the Terrible needed a strong point for the capture of Kazan, and the hill on which the island is now located was ideal in all respects. During a walking tour of Sviyazhsk, you will learn about how the fortress city was built and appreciate the unique preservation of the historical and architectural environment. 13:00 – We have lunch and temporarily say goodbye to Tatarstan. We have breakfast and drive to Mari El (~95 km) We are waiting for a republic with amazingly beautiful nature, rich in lakes and forests, which is rightfully considered one of the most ecologically clean regions of Russia. Translated from the local language, “El” means country, and the full name comes from the indigenous population - Mari. And the capital of the republic is the only city starting with the letter “y” that immediately attracts attention with its architecture: Belgian and Dutch streets are adjacent to Orthodox churches. During your stay, you will learn about the Red City before the replicas of European landmarks appeared and why its center was designed in such an unconventional way. During a sightseeing tour of Yoshkar-Ola: - visit the Obolensky-Nogotkov Square with the Tsar Cannon and the famous clock with a donkey; - let's rub Yoshka's cat's paw and make a wish; - we will see the youngest Kremlin, Tsarevokokshaysky; - let's evaluate the “12 Apostles” complex on Patriarchal Square and the Puppet Theater, reminiscent of the Bavarian Noschwanstein; - take a walk along the embankments along the Malaya Kokshagi River - Amsterdam and Bruges. It is hidden in a protected pine forest, on the shore of a forest lake – and this is the Raifa monastery. It was founded in 1613 by the hermit monk Filaret and has a long history. We will visit the monastery's territory, where you can worship its main shrine, the list of the Georgian Icon of the Mother of God.
