* 10 km away. above P.Rozhkao, in the Gentu massif at an altitude of 1770 n.u.m. there is an entrance to a unique cave called the Southern Elephant. And just above the cave there are beautiful observation decks, from where you can endlessly admire the panorama of the Blue Canyon, which looks extremely impressive.
Here, the northeastern slope of the Gentu Ridge ends abruptly with sheer walls into the bottomless gorge of the Levy Rozhok River. The numerous rock outcrops on the opposite side of the canyon attract the eye with their unusual color. They really have a slightly bluish tint and resemble the cascades of a giant frozen waterfall.
But the main target will be, of course, the Southern Elephant. The cave has a depth of 80 m and a length of more than 1 kilometer.
The entrance to the cave is a well about 5 meters deep, immediately after which strange halls begin: Entrance Hall, Columned, Stalactite, Gothic, Ali Baba's hall, Skeleton Hall.
The Southern Elephant Cave surprises its visitors with the most unusual flow formations, stalactites, natural columns of flow calcite, towers, mushrooms, lace curtains at every turn. At the same time, the cave is accessible without using special caving equipment. And to tell you that the cave is beautiful is just an understatement. You definitely need to see it with your own eyes.
