From 150€ per person
Description
Type: Single-day activity
Duration: 4 hours
* It is dedicated to the Extraordinary Holy Year, by the will of Pope Francis I, declared the Year of Divine Mercy — 2025:
For all believers and sufferers, aspiring, simply educated, observers and interested.
• About the tradition and culture of the "Jubilee or Holy Year" associated with the remission of sins and the abolition of imposed penances; its meaning and purpose lies in forgiveness, in the indulgence that everyone can receive, and in the opportunity to renew their relationship with God and their neighbors.
According to various historical rules, the custom is reduced to at least a prayer service in four of the papal temples located in Rome or in seven pilgrimage temples:
- St. Peter's Cathedral in the Vatican.
- San Giovanni in Laterano.
- St. Paul fuori le Mur, or beyond the city wall.
- St. Lorenzo fuori le mura, or beyond the city wall.
- Santa Maria Maggiore.
- Santa Croce in Jerusalem.
- St. Sebastian.
For Pope Francis I, this is already the second Saint, and also an Extraordinary or extraordinary year — traditionally held once every 25 years.
For the last extraordinary Holy Year in 2015 Rome was visited by an additional 30 million people. An event whose importance cannot be overestimated — after all, "Every generation should have a chance to be forgiven."
