Guests and guide will start at Rialto Market from the 12th century church San Giacometto and they will explore the Old Market. Cross the 16th bridge on the Grand Canal. Go into the famous warehouse (Fondaco dei Tedeschi) and up to the roof top terrace to admire the 360-degree view of Venice (please let me know some days before how many people I have and I will book for free the entrance) From the warehouse, they will go to the area where Marco Polo lived. Next will be a handmade mask shop that makes masks for the famous Venice carnival. Guests can book a workshop to make their own masks. (40 euro for one hour). You will see the San Giovanni e Paolo church. After we will visit the famous “Libreria Acqua alta” with books everywhere on shelves and on one big gondola inside the bookshop. At the end we will visit in San Mark’s square the unique San Mark’s basilica with its beautiful mosaics.
