Vodny Island is located on the territory of the Rostov Nature Reserve in the heart of the Manych-Gudilo salt lake and is home to the only herd of mustangs in our country. These are representatives of a very rare large Don breed of horses, whose height reaches 173 cm at the withers. Together with the staff of the reserve, we will learn not only the history of the appearance of mustangs, but also other interesting facts about the life of the inhabitants of the Don steppes. The second part of the tour: We are moving to the territory of the stud farm "Velikoknyazhesky". They breed and sell elite horse breeds here. One of the priorities of the breeding work of the plant is the preservation, development and improvement of horses of the Budyonnovsky breed. The stud farm includes an equestrian sports school, a breeding department with rich infrastructure, a large territory with magnificent steppe landscapes, its own farm, vineyards.
