Knights of Tzarskoye selo
From 7 500₽ per private group
Description
Type: Single-day activity
Duration: 3 hours
* For many of us, Tsarskoye Selo is Catherine Park and the palace.
Finally, the Lyceum!
Nicholas I, the last knight of Europe, ordered the construction of everything a decent medieval knight should have– a house, a church, and an arsenal. All the buildings are designed in the neo-Gothic style.
A stone's throw from these world masterpieces lurks the entire medieval Kremlin with its chambers, created just before the First World War. And St. Sophia Cathedral, barracks of Its Own convoy, Military Chamber and railway station, built and painted by the best masters of the neo-Russian style.
The European and Russian Middle Ages were so bizarrely combined in Tsarskoye Selo architecture.
