Plotinka
Detailed description
On November 18, 1723, a dam was built on the Iset River for the needs of the plant. Construction of the plant began in March of the same year under the leadership of artillery Captain Vasily Tatishchev and Major General Wilhelm de Gennin, who are the founders of the city. The factory site is located between the current streets of Lenin and Malyshev, Vojvodina and Gorky. It was bounded on the north by a dam, and on the south by a stone bridge. The dam is the only surviving structure of the Yekaterinburg plant and the oldest building in the city. It is still used for its intended purpose and is the center of the city.
