Description

Type: Multi-day activity
* A trip to Central Altai. Climbing to the highest point of the Yuzhno-Chuisky range - Mount Irbista (translated from Altai as "snow leopard mountain" 3967m. 1B c.t.) and the peak of Janiikta (translated from Altai as "the supreme spirit of the mountain" 3922m. 1B c.t.) The tour includes jipping through the high-altitude Chuya steppe to the foothills of the main peaks, classes in basic mountaineering and mountain tourism skills, and an excursion to the rock carvings of the Elangash River Valley (according to archaeologists, there are about 60,000 petroglyphs concentrated here, the largest number in Altai). The way to the beginning of the active part of the route passes along the famous Chuisky highway, stopping at the most significant places. We go climbing with light backpacks, as the peaks are several hours away from the base camp. Instead of climbing, those who wish can take a walk to the Dzhankel, Attakel and Karakol lakes, the jade valley. So this tour is suitable for everyone. Main impressions: - climbing the four thousandth mountains of Altai - jipping across the Chuya steppe - views of the Mongolian Altai - high-altitude Chuya steppe - valley of petroglyphs - the opportunity to observe the herds of sarlyks and camels - snow leopard tracks - views of the Ukok Plateau - mountaineering - mountain tourism - training in working with climbing equipment - photo shoots - jipping
