day 01
Ivolginsky datsan, shamanic center and Dugzhuub ritual bonfire.
Type of accommodation:Hotel
Breakfast at the city restaurant (extra charge). On this day, we will get acquainted with the Buddhist and shamanic beliefs of the Buryats. On the first day, we will have a fire purification ceremony, a visit to the Tengeri shamanic center with an excursion (for an additional fee, if desired). The program includes: a sightseeing tour of the shamanic center, a ritual calling for good luck, well-being, health, and material prosperity. Those who wish can get personal advice from a shaman. The cost of an offering to the shaman for a personal reception is paid additionally. 14:00 - 15:00 Lunch at the datsan cafe. The following ceremony is performed on Sagaalgan: people wipe themselves with a piece of dough and make a figurine of a little man (tabalan) out of it, which we will burn on the evening bonfire of Dugzhuub. And finally, in the evening we will go to the main Ivolginsky datsan, the world center of the Buddhist faith, where the Dugzhuub ritual bonfire will be held. According to the established tradition, a purification ceremony is held – gutor. To do this, we make a tabalan. On the eve of the holiday, people wipe themselves with a piece of dough (only flour and clean water, no additives), then they make a figurine of a little man (tabalan) out of it, as if passing on to this symbolic figurine all their illnesses, troubles, losses and possible "spoilage". If a person does this consciously, with great faith, then he is freed from bad thoughts, prejudices, diseases and other negativity. These figurines are brought to a datsan (Buddhist temple, monastery) and placed during the day in a special ritual bonfire. The Khambo lama of Itygalov, magic chariots, stones, the evening bonfire "Dugzhuuba" and the place itself will make a visit to the temple very special. As an experienced guide, I will show you and tell you about the mysteries of Buddhist philosophy and practice. Here we will celebrate the New Year and make wishes that will surely come true! We will pray for the well-being of the coming year and do all the necessary rituals. If you wish, you can take offerings with you: milk, coins, sweets, marshmallows, as it resembles a lolotos, as locals do when visiting the datsan.

day 05
Buryat Ethnocenter and Shaman Mountains
Type of accommodation:Hotel
After breakfast, we will go to the Shaman mountains. A few kilometers from Ulan-Ude, right in the center of the Selenga River, there are unusual mountains, which are called shamanic — a striking detail in the dizzying mountain landscape. And next to it, a flat ridge called the Taphar Plateau or Genghis Khan's Headquarters among the pointed hills is singled out as a special place for beauty and energy, and the protruding part of the plateau was popularly called the "troll tongue" and many artifacts were found here. Since ancient times, the Shamanic Mountains have been a place of power, where rituals were performed and offerings were made to the spirits. Our route to Tapkhara will start from the plateau of the garden of stones of Genghis Khan. This iconic place is overgrown with unearthly legends and its paintings are not inferior to the famous natural monuments. You will find yourself in a place of power and find out what secrets this land holds. And since we can only dream of Norway now, we can see the famous Troll language here as an undoubted copy of it. Next, we will find the Singing Arrow Hill and the continuation of the rituals. This hill is also called Bull Mountain for its resemblance to this animal. A place of power that preserves the past history of the Xiongnu tribes and the continuation of the tradition of nomadic peoples. You will see a magnificent bird's-eye view of the Selenga River and learn about the ancient history of the Singing Arrow Hill. You will learn how the Buryat kulaks were engaged in farming, and why collective farms collapsed and how modern nomads are engaged in cattle breeding now. But the day will not end there either, an excursion to the Buryat ethnocenter awaits us. Here we will have a delicious meal and spend the rest of the day, as was customary among the nomads. You will be greeted with the traditional ceremony of dear guests "Ugtamzha" with Khadak - a symbol of the hospitality of the Buryat people and white food - a symbol of prosperity and pure thoughts. Get acquainted with the traditions of the Buryat people in the local history yurt: we will tell you the secrets of the ancient dwelling of the steppe people, about various methods of processing leather and wool, about the importance of hitching nomads and much more awaits you in the park!
