From the car window, we will pay attention to interesting ancient and modern buildings. Moving past the FEFU campus, we will assess the scale of the largest university in the region. As we drive deeper into the forests of Russian Island, we will pass abandoned Soviet military installations. After reaching the spit, we leave our car and go on a walking trip. The weather in Primorsky Krai is very changeable, it can be windy on the seashore, and I advise you to bring a windbreaker jacket. We will cross the spit to the island. In winter, the spit is dry, but in summer the tides often hide it under water and you have to walk knee-deep in the water. I recommend taking aquataps with you. After crossing the spit, we set off to explore the island of Shkota. Our route around the island is about 2 km in one direction. We will walk along the trail to the other end of the island along the cliffs and cliffs to the ancient lighthouse. We will make a 15-minute rest stop at the lighthouse, take a picture and head back. In the direction of the lighthouse for about 15 minutes we go to a small lift, back to the descent road. The route is suitable for people with regular physical fitness. Please pay attention to the shoes. It should be comfortable and not slippery. We can swim on the way back. The water near the island is very clean and transparent. There is a great sandy and pebble beach near the spit.
