day 01
The way to the pearl of Siberia. By car 400 km.

Meeting of guests: at 7:00 Barnaul airport; 7:30 Barnaul car and railway station; 8:00 near the Passage shopping center (Barnaul ave. Lenina, 2B).
12:00 Gorno-Altaysk airport (guests arriving in Gorno-Altaysk do not get on excursions to the village of Srostki and the steles of the Altai Republic).
First, we will visit the homeland of the Soviet film director, actor and writer V.M. Shukshin — in the village of Srostki, where we will climb the mountain. Picket line. From here there is a view of Katun and we will see the first mountain, Babyrgan. You can use it to determine the weather, and the mountain itself is the center of magnetism!
The next stop is a whole complex of monuments symbolizing the national flavor, history and vital activity of the Altai people.
Then we go to the base, which is located near Lake Teletskoye – this place is popular among travelers, there is a fantastic Altai nature. Let's relax in the evening and get ready for new adventures!
day 02
Along the Teletskoye lake. By car 50 km. The water part is 76 km.

The lake is shaped like a bowl surrounded by mountains, and dozens of rivers descend from the height of waterfalls. Wild animals walk along the shores, here is the territory of the Altai Nature Reserve and no human foot steps. A long water trip awaits us, we will cross the lake from north to south to the sand spit of Cape Kirsai, where a bus will be waiting for us.
Next, our path will pass through the majestic gorge of the Chulyshman River valley. This is a unique facility and there are no similar ones in Siberia! It has a mild microclimate, it is warm here and apple orchards are spread out. We will see the Bashkaus River, the second largest in the Ulagan region, and soon we will reach our base.
day 03
Chamber mushrooms.

The secret place – the Akkurum tract, which translates as "White Scree", is one of the most spectacular places in Altai. Unique natural objects – "Stone mushrooms", formed as a result of weathering and leaching, will spread above us! Nature is a magnificent sculptor, these wonderful creations have such rare and bizarre shapes that many travelers refuse to believe in their exclusively natural origin.
The climb will take about an hour with stops, and the reward will be a breathtaking view of the valley of the Chulyshman River and the opportunity to touch the stone mushrooms. There is a special atmosphere and energy here. It's better to start our trip in the morning and early, before the heat of the day begins!
day 04
Waterfalls of the Chulyshman River valley.

Waterfalls are unique and powerful objects of nature, and our day will be dedicated to them.
Kurkure is a picturesque waterfall with a maximum free–fall height of 30 meters. Translated from Altai – ringing, murmuring, rattling. A huge stream of water noisily falls down and, crashing against the rocks, creates a rainbow. We will cross the Chulyshman River by boat and walk along a flat path for about 40 minutes. The vicinity of the waterfall is a sacred place, the local population never grazes cattle there, and ancient petroglyphs can be found on the rocks.
We will also stop at the beautiful CHUL-OOZI waterfall, which is rapidly falling down from a sheer cliff. The way here is a bit more complicated, there may be fords in places, and there is a slight climb. However, it's worth getting here, the angle is very interesting and the sight is fascinating.
On the way to the base, we will discover Karasu, Utu-Kaya, and Tudan waterfalls.
day 05
Katu-Yaryk and dozens of lakes. By car 130 km.

And here in front of us is the Katau — Yaryk pass – this is the place of power of Altai, below, as if in the palm of your hand, the valley of the Chulyshman River stretches, and the height difference is about 700 meters! You can have lunch here and tourists will have to conquer the pass!
We make a stop at the Pazyryk Mounds, where the history of the Scythians is preserved and you can feel the spirit of the millennia.
We are gradually climbing to an altitude of more than 2000 meters, where the Ulagan Pass is located – a sacred place of Altai. There is a cedar smell of taiga, larch and Altai expanses all around. Dozens of unique lakes will surround us on the other side of the pass!
The next stop is the red gate, where crimson cliffs rise above the gorge, and a fast river breaks through the breakers below and the sound of its waters echoes.
day 06
Mars, glaciers, and a hidden lake. By car 200 km.

In the morning we will stop at the colorful geyser lake, which is hidden in the forest. It's Blue, Silver, Geyser – there are many names, but the lake is one. Blue clay has painted the bottom with bizarre shapes and they are constantly changing at the moment when the underground springs begin to beat! Many legends are associated with this place, they say that the water here does not freeze in winter!
We will drive to the Kurai steppe and admire the Aktru glaciers, which rise more than 4,000 meters! Here is a "mecca" for climbers, dozens of routes and passes, the kingdom of ice and snow. And on the deserted surface in front of the mountain range, you can see the giant ripples of the current, the largest in the world!!!
Let's visit Altai Mars with you! These mountains have been hidden under the water column for millions of years, being part of the relict Chuya Lake, but now we can observe them. They consist of hundreds of geological strata, painted in variegated colors, from yellow and green to red and burgundy.
We will also have an exciting walk to MARS 2 (the route takes 2 hours, about 6 km without significant altitude gain). The path will lead us along the river, where vegetation is only sparse shrubs and bizarrely shaped trees. The soil is cracked everywhere, traces of erosion and unearthly landscapes are the beginning of the Chuya steppe.
day 07
Along the Chuisky highway. By car 600 km.

We have a busy day today, we will visit the sacred place of Chui-Oozi, touch the history of the Scythians in the sanctuary of Adyr-Kan, learn the history of the Chui highway and the first drivers who drove along it – this will be the monument to Kolka Snegirev stop.
Next on the way is the Chike Taman pass, where the views from the observation decks are breathtaking. We are moving to the Seminsky pass. The ascent begins, and soon we will be at an altitude of 1717 meters!
We will return to Barnaul around 20:00, our guides will tell you where to go and what to do in the city. If you are leaving Gorno-Altaysk, we will pick you up earlier, around 16:00.
