The Ural United Writers Museum was established in 1980 on the basis of several literary and memorial museums.
In 1993, it acquired the status of a municipal cultural institution.
Its function is to collect, process and study materials related to the history of Ural literature.
The Writers' Museum Ural is one of the largest literary museums in Russia, including seven exhibition halls, the Chamber Theater literary and musical hall and the literary district park with a summer stage. Over its long history, the museum has collected valuable collections, formed a highly specialized team, conducted research and publishing activities.
