The first location is Sarykum Dune. Which translates to yellow sands. Exotic photos are obtained on the Dune, the sand is fine, loose and hot in summer. Children love to roll down hills, adults sit in pairs and contemplate the nearby mountain range, where, by the way, they find many petroglyphs. You can mentally transfer yourself on a magic carpet to Africa in the Sahara, or you can take a shovel with you and stage shots from the movie "White Sun of the Desert". (21 km from Mahi). Another 72 km. and we are on the shore of the Sulak Canyon, and we are served baked trout with fresh vegetables or lamb on a spit in a peach orchard. After trout farming, we will go down to the village of Zubutli, where you can optionally ride along the emerald ribbon of the Sulak Canyon. We take photos from the most fiery locations. *In summer, you can swim in the cool waters of the canyon and ride a zipline over the canyon. In the evening we will move to Chokh, where we will have a delicious dinner prepared for you with love from the bottom of our hearts. The road will be 145 km long, but interesting - we will pass through the longest tunnel in Russia, 4304 m, along the Irganai reservoir, in summer it will be possible to swim in it and even swim on boots if we keep up with the dark.

Archaeologists conducted excavations in the vicinity of Chokha and discovered that there was an ancient human site here in the Late Paleolithic era. Not far from Chokha is the most interesting Wotan Museum, which translates to Homeland. In 1741, the meadows and mountains around Wotan were completely covered with wars. In 1741-45, Dagestan was invaded by the invincible army of the Persian king Nadir Shah. According to contemporaries, the number of troops reached 300,000. Nadir Shah was defeated. But his treasures have not yet been found. The next must have location is Gamsutl. Many people have it on their wish list. Gamsutl is still uninhabited. The road collapsed during an earthquake back in '70. The last resident passed away in 2015. Ancient Gamsul is a legendary village! Everyone who has visited Dagestan has heard about him. There used to be a lot of life here - children went to school, there was a hospital with a maternity ward, cars drove, shops worked. Now travelers see only picturesque ruins, eagles soaring in the sky, and the picturesque landscapes of the nearby mountains. Gamsutl is the Mecca of tourism in Dagestan. More recently, tourists, guests of the village, were greeted by Abduzhalil Abduzhalilov, the last resident. He called himself the mayor of the city, ran his own large household by himself and was always glad to have guests. Today his house is empty, but the national trail does not overgrow it. *In summer, we climb to an altitude of 2,060 m through Sogratl into the alpine meadows and from there descend to Gamsutl. In winter, autumn and early spring, this route is not possible — we walk up 1.30 minutes.

We will admire the magnificent view of the Gunib hydroelectric power station and the series of tunnels drilled into the rocks on the way from Gunib. The combination of stone and water is very picturesque in this particular location. Saltinsky waterfall. It's a wonderful miracle. The waterfall, beautiful in shape and magical in appearance, has pierced a bowl in the thickness of the stone, into which both children and adults jump with pleasure on a hot day. The Karadakh gorge is known for its bizarre shapes, 150 m long, 170 m high and only 2-4 meters wide, with hanging multi-ton boulders stuck between the two sides of the gorge, forming a wonderful play of shapes and light, always being one of the favorite locations of guests.
