Starting point
* The first point of the route Our journey begins, of course, starting from the heart of Sredneuralsk - the bus station, the square, the intersection of the main streets of Lenin and Uralskaya. Here we can pay tribute to the soldiers of the Great Patriotic War, visit the Alley of Champions, and view the former central hotel. The sacred and main monument of the city is the Memorial Complex dedicated to the people of Central Ural who died on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945. It was opened on November 6, 1967 V.I. Grinevich - local historian, veteran of the Great Patriotic War, Knight of the Order of the Great Patriotic War II degree, Honorary citizen of Sredneuralsk, author of books about Sredneuralsk, organizer of the construction of the Memorial Complex To date, 669 surnames of Sredneuralians have been immortalized on commemorative plaques. In 2015, to mark the 70th anniversary of the Victory, the Memorial Complex was significantly renovated and on May 9, a living Eternal Flame broke out here. On the site of Sredneuralsk, founded in 1931, there used to be a farm of Cossacks of the Poshlyakov family. Their estate was located where the supermarket on Sovetskaya Street is now. The head of the family, a gold digger, paid with his life for his dangerous hobby. The dream of wealth overwhelmed the prospectors – according to local historian Oleg Georgievich Simakov, almost the entire city is based on gold: "It comes from the ground either with quartz or with sulfides. Both are here." Near Sredneuralsky, a deep tectonic fault runs along the Ural Ridge along the eastern slope. This is a treasure trove of gems, and you can get into it if you move one and a half to two kilometers towards Verkhnyaya Pyshma.Finish point
* Alley of Champions we cheer, we vote for our Champions! Sredneuralsk is a garden city, a city of power engineers and champions, the heart of the Urals The famous Russian sports commentator M. L. Azerny once said: "Sredneuralsk is the most heavily involved city in hockey." Or rather, it is the "most heavily involved" Russian city in the champions! Where else can you find a provincial town with a population of about 25 thousand people, so that it gives so many champions: seven-time world champion A.G. Izmodenov, four-time world champions Y.A. Shkolny, V. G. Eichwald, champions and prize-winners of the USSR and the world S.V. Gusev, S.A. Korolev, E.P. Izmodenov, A.G. Shirokov about fifty masters of several sports. Their names have become a legend on the lips of Central Ural residents and sports enthusiasts of Yekaterinburg and the region. But how do you find out about this and that Sredneuralsk is included in the Guinness Book of Records for the number of champions per capita? Why are there so many books and articles written about these people, the sports dynasties of the city, but they can only be found in the library? There is nothing so energizing for exploits as the victories of fellow countrymen. And the main victory is to honor and remember your heroes! Sredneuralsk is a garden city, a city of power engineers and champions, the heart of the UralsHow to get
