Monument to King Rama I
Detailed description
The monument is located at the base of the Van Burap Phir Memorial Bridge. It was built in 1932 during the reign of King Rama VII. The bronze statue sits on a throne and is created three times larger than life size. Wearing the royal uniform, the king puts one hand on his sword, which lies on his lap, and looks at the Triphet road. The total height of the monument is 4.60 meters. The pedestal is 2.30 meters wide with a marble base under it. The facade behind the statue is made of marble. The middle part of the facade has a rectangular shape and is decorated with a granite slab on which the history of construction is inscribed.
