There is also a panoramic sauna on the shore of Sevan, gorges and mountains, a party at the most hooligan winery in Armenia, a culinary master class, Armenian jazz or opera.

Meeting in Yerevan

Arrival at Yerevan airport. Welcome dinner at the house of an Armenian grandmother with a master class on cooking a traditional New Year's dish - gata.If we have time, we'll take a walk around the evening city center. Garlands, ice rinks, sweets and juicy pomegranates - Yerevan turns into a holiday in winter!

Ski resort and sauna in Sevan

We leave the hotel with our suitcases.Tsakhkadzor ski resort is waiting for us. Winter atmosphere, frosty mountain air and panoramic views from the cable car. And you can warm up with mulled wine or a cup of Armenian coffee.We are moving to a small mountain village where one of the best chefs in Armenia has opened a very cozy hotel with a fireplace and a wonderful restaurant.We leave our suitcases and go to an old village bakery of the 17th century, where we will take part in baking pita bread, wrap cheese, herbs and other snacks in crispy thin dough, listen to stories and get acquainted with the structure of a traditional house - glkhutun.After a snack, we will have a beautiful sauna on the shore of Sevan, with huge panoramic windows on the lake and mountains, and access to Sevan for swimming!And in the evening, dinner at the chef's. In a room with a fireplace and to the sound of a piano. Be sure to try Sevan fish specialties.

Etchmiadzin, Aragats and the Winery

After breakfast, we leave the hotel.The first stop is the magnificent prospect formed by the Kasakh Canyon and the Saghmosavan Monastery over the precipice.Then we will see one of the most picturesque sights: the 7th century Amberd Castle on the slope of the highest mountain of Armenia - Aragats.It is also believed that the most delicious hash is served on Mount Aragats, and it is customary to eat it in winter. If desired, you can try this dish here.For a special Christmas spirit, we will stop at Etchmiadzin, the spiritual center of Armenia, the residence of the Catholicos and the place where the Spear of Destiny is kept.And we will end this day with a wine tasting at the most fun and hooligan winery in Armenia, overlooking Ararat. The three garage brothers love bold experiments and make wine exclusively from autochthonous grape varieties and exclusively natural, without additives. The tour here resembles a stand-up, and the tasting is a family feast.In the evening we check into a hotel in Yerevan.

Behind the scenes of the Opera House

After breakfast we go to see Yerevan. We will appreciate the modern art in the park on Tumanyan and Cascade, look into the secret courtyards where old Yerevan has been preserved, go out to Charles Aznavour Square with an elegant fountain and the gorgeous Renaissance Republic Square, walk along the main artery of the city, Abovyan Street. On the way, you can have a snack on juicy tortillas with herbs and young wine or meat lamajos, drizzled with lemon.We will finish our route at the Opera House. We will be taken backstage and we will learn how the theater works from the inside. And in the finale, we'll raise a glass of sparkling wine in the theater buffet!If desired, you can go to an evening performance, or continue the evening on Vinnaya Street, and then listen to the legendary maestro of Yerevan jazz in the cult club.
