Museum of the Academy of Construction and Architecture of the Samara State Technical University
Detailed description
The museum appeared in the period of 1935, when the university celebrated its fifth anniversary. The Cabinet Museum brought together a variety of equipment, devices and tools related to the construction professions in a single space and demonstrated them. During the Soviet-Finnish and Great Patriotic Wars and in the post-war years, the museum ceased to exist. In the 1950s, it was opened, however, as a Room of Labor and Military Glory, which was under the patronage of the military department. The museum is a kind of "hotbed" of the cultural and spiritual life of the university, a center for intellectual communication between different generations, a venue for art and photo exhibitions, presentations, vernissages, where the best educational and graduate works of designers, sculptors and painters, models and sketches of architects are presented.
