* The siege of Leningrad is considered the heaviest and most devastating siege in the history of mankind. More than 800,000 people were victims of hunger, cold, bombing and shelling. During this tour, you will walk through the central streets and squares of the city, and with the help of a selection of photographs you will see how they looked during the years of the blockade. You will hear a story about the hardships that befell the inhabitants of the besieged city, and about the heroism of its defenders. The tour also includes an introduction to the Siege Exposition in the Rumyantsev Mansion, a branch of the Museum of the History of St. Petersburg.
