Join us for an unforgettable trip to the annual Golden Eagle Festival in Bayan-Ulagey Aimag, located in the Altai Mountains in Western Mongolia. Along the way, the tour includes photographing the landscapes of the Chuisky tract of the Altai Mountains and visiting the sightseeing sites of the Mongolian Altai.
The photo tour program is designed for lovers of exotic sights and photographers. In Bayan-Ulagey aimag, where the Mongolian Kazakhs live, a colorful national holiday is held annually: the Kekber goat race and the main spectacle is the Berkutchi hunter competition. For the sake of this spectacle, famous magazine photographers and rich exotic lovers come here from afar. A demonstration of hunting techniques with a predatory golden eagle in the title role is a rare sight. The festival participants take national clothes and other colorful attributes seriously. Beaded boots, silver harnesses, embroidered blankets and colorful robes - these people cherish the legacy of their ancestors with genuine love. During the holiday, the local population brings a lot of antiques and souvenirs of local artisans, which they offer for sale to tourists. 09:00 - 18:00 - On the first day of our trip, you will have an exciting tour of the Chuisky tract. We will pass two picturesque high mountain passes of Seminsky and Chike Taman. We will visit the sacred sites of the indigenous population, look at rock carvings, and visit viewing platforms. We will see the eternally white peaks of the mountains.
18:00 - 20:00 - Dinner. Rest. Bathhouse. Overnight in a guest house.

Day 2. Crossing the state border. Ulgiy khot.

08:00 - 10:00 - Breakfast. We're packing up. We are heading towards the Tashanta border crossing.
10:00 - 17:00 - We go through all the formalities at the Russia-Mongolia border. Crossing the state border. Then we drive through the Durbet Davaa pass (2481 m) and the last formalities at the Mongolian checkpoint. Next, near the state border, in the settlement "Kars Yurt", we have lunch. We eat a special Mongolian dish called boozy (manty) made from highland mutton. There is still about 70 km on the way. and the border town of Ulgiy. Accommodation in a hotel in the city of Ulgiy. Evening walk around the city. Dinner at a Mongolian restaurant.

10:00 - 19:00 - The purpose of today's trip is the oldest Mongolian city of Khovd (Kobdo), which formed the backbone of the Mongolian Empire. The road passes through the Hashaat Davaa pass, Sayran uul mountain range (3981 m.). Along the way, we will take a photo break at the Tolbo Nuur alpine lake.
19:00 - 20:00 - Dinner. Rest. Overnight at the hotel. Evening walk around the city.

Day 4. Small Gobi Desert - Mongol Els.

10:00 - 18:00 - In the morning, we replenish our provisions at the local supermarket, and drive to the picturesque lake Dorgon Nuur, which is located at the western tip of the Mongolian Mongol Els desert (Khomyn Els) in the Basin of Large Lakes. A walk through the sand dunes of the Mongolian desert.
18:00 - 20:00 - Dinner. Rest. Overnight at a yurt campsite, subject to availability, or at a tent camp on the shore of Lake Dorgon Nuur.

Day 5. Mongol Els Desert.

10:00 - 18:00 - Morning walk along the sand dunes of the Mongol Els desert, after lunch departure to the town of Khovd. Along the way, we will stop by the local nomads and get acquainted with the way of life and culture of the nomadic people.
18:00 - 20:00 - Dinner. Rest. Overnight at the hotel.

day 06
Day 6. Buddhist datsan. Lake Tolbo nuur.

09:00 - 18:00 - In the morning we will attend the morning service at the Buddhist datsan Gandan Putsang, where we will see monks reciting mantras. Then a walk through the city market, where you can get acquainted with agricultural and livestock products and many other interesting things. Next, we will visit the local history museum of the Khovda aimag, which contains especially valuable materials on the history and culture of the nomadic people. After lunch, return along the already familiar road to the city of Ulgiy.

Day 7. Golden Eagle Festival.
