Detailed description
It was installed in 1971 near the Blue Bridge. It is a four-sided granite pillar immersed in water and topped with the trident of the sea king. It is one of the links in the chain of water measuring poles. One of the sides bears marks of the largest floods in the city, the worst happened in 1824, when hundreds of houses were destroyed and hundreds died.
