Monument to King Thaksin
Detailed description
The monument is located in the center of the Vongvianyai interchange. The statue was built in 1951 during the reign of King Rama IX. This monument is the first one built in honor of King Thaksin the Great. The construction of the monument was first started by the private sector in 1934. On the statue, King Taksin is dressed in the uniform of a military leader and sits right on his favorite horse.
