Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross of the Lord
Detailed description
The temple was built by Cossacks in 1825, and in 1906 it was completely reconstructed. During the years of the atheist government, the temple was destroyed. The new one was built and consecrated for the 1000th anniversary of the adoption of Christianity in Russia. The construction was completed in 1986. The temple was built according to the sketches of Father Sergiy Limanov. Thanks to Father Limanov, divine services in the walls of the temple did not stop even at the time of construction, although party organizations prevented this. The temple was painted by an artist from Moscow, Bureichenko. The territory of the temple has been improved, and a memorial wall to the Knights of St. George Crosses has been installed at the entrance.
