Detailed description

The courthouse was built in 1889-1996. In 1897, the district court moved here. The famous trial of the Sormovo worker Peter Zalomov, who later became the prototype of Pavel Vlasov from Maxim Gorky's novel "Mother", took place here. The functions of the building have not changed at this time. The building has been occupied by the provincial court since 1925. Since the beginning of the 21st century, the building has not undergone major repairs and has been preserved in its original form. During the 2006 fire in the building, wooden roof structures, floors and decorative plaster of the rooms on the second floor were damaged. After the fire, restoration work was carried out, and the main facade and individual historical interiors were restored to their original appearance.
