Bangkok National Museum
Detailed description
The main branch of the Museum of National Museums in Thailand and one of the largest museums in Southeast Asia. It features exhibits of Thai art and history. It occupies the former Viceroy's Palace (or the Ceremonial Palace). The museum was founded and opened in 1874 by King Chulalongkorn to showcase the royal collections of his father, King Mongkut.
