Apartment house of A.D. Muruzi
Detailed description
The five-storey building belonged to Prince Alexander Dmitrievich Muruzi. The facades of the houses were complemented by many bay windows, balconies and niches decorated with thin terracotta columns, horseshoes, and stylish inscriptions. The house, built at the end of the 19th century, is located at the intersection of three streets. The building still bears the name of the customer, the first owner, Prince Nikolai Muruzi. Over the years, writer Nicole Leskov, writer-translator Dmitry Merezhkovsky and his wife Zinaida Gippius and poet Joseph Brodsky lived here.
