The building of the Golutva manufactory
Detailed description
The Golutvin Manufactory was a large textile enterprise founded in the middle of the 19th century by Mikhail Ryabushinsky in Moscow. The red-brick buildings of the manufactory tower over the building next to the complex of the Krasny Oktyabr factory, which was also designed by architect Kalmykov. Both complexes represent the typical factory "style" of that era, with rough romanticism and tower-like volumes that almost like flags signal the entrance to the canal.
