Detailed description
The house is an architectural monument and was built in 1737-1738 for the breeder N. A. Demidov. The construction was carried out under the supervision of architect M.G. Zemtsov. Then the owner of the house changed and the building was rebuilt, due to which it acquired a classic look with a borderless facade solution. The facade of the building is also distinguished by a slightly protruding risalite and pediment. At the beginning of the 20th century, the house belonged to the artist A.F. Gaush, one of the founders of the museum "Old Petersburg".
